Issue Position

As a former Assistant District Attorney, Jerry Iannece prosecuted hundreds of career criminals and drug dealers. Jerry has the firsthand experience to be tough on crime, and strengthen our criminal justice system in order to keep our communities a safer place to live. As your next Assemblyman, Jerry will fight to reinstate the beat cop, increase the number of police officers assigned to our precincts, and advocate for all the resources we need, with adequate staffing, to provide a more effective allocation, faster response, and better protection for our citizens. Jerry was an early outspoken advocate and supporter of biased crime legislation, which would increase penalties imposed on criminals who commit crimes that are religiously or racially motivated. Jerry is further advocating for the formation of a Batterers Registration Program.
